PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced its men’s soccer weekly award winners for the week ending September 20, 2026. WestConn’s Nickolas Santana, Rhode Island College’s Jackson Fox and Eastern Connecticut State University’s Jack Harmon and Brad Balgach were recognized following their performances last week.

Offensive Player of the Week – Nickolas Santana, WestConn

Santana totaled three goals, two assists and eight points over four matches for the Wolves. The junior midfielder/forward scored once in a 2-2 draw against Worcester Polytechnic Institute before adding another goal in a 4-0 victory over Lehman College. Santana turned in his top performance of the week in WestConn’s 4-0 LEC victory over Plymouth State University, recording a goal and two assists for a season-high four points. He scored the eventual game-winner in the 11th minute and finished the week with nine shots.

Defensive Player of the Week – Jackson Fox, Rhode Island College

Fox anchored the Anchormen’s back line during a pair of draws, playing all 180 minutes as Rhode Island College went 0-0-2. The senior defender helped RIC earn a 2-2 draw against Johnson & Wales University before playing a key role in a scoreless draw against reigning LEC champion UMass Boston. Against the Beacons, Fox cleared a potential game-winning goal off the goal line to preserve the 0-0 result.

Goalkeeper of the Week – Jack Harmon, Eastern Connecticut

Harmon did not allow a goal in 135 minutes of action as Eastern Connecticut went 1-0-1. The junior goalkeeper made two saves while playing the opening 45 minutes of a 1-1 draw against the University of Hartford before making six saves in a 2-0 victory over Vermont State University Castleton. Harmon finished the week with eight saves, a 1.000 save percentage and a 0.00 goals-against average, while recording his second complete shutout of the season against the Spartans.

Rookie of the Week – Brad Balgach, Eastern Connecticut

Balgach scored one goal and totaled two points as Eastern Connecticut posted a 1-0-1 record for the week. The first-year forward scored the Warriors’ lone goal in a 1-1 draw against Hartford, finding the back of the net in the first half. Balgach also recorded three shots in Eastern Connecticut’s 2-0 victory over Vermont State Castleton, finishing the week with six shots overall as the Warriors extended their unbeaten streak to five matches.
