PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced its men’s soccer weekly award winners for the week ending September 27, 2026. WestConn's Bamfa Fofana was named both Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week, while teammate Enzo LaGrassa-Gillet earned Defensive Player of the Week honors. Plymouth State University’s Bryant Amaral was selected as Goalkeeper of the Week.

Offensive Player & Rookie of the Week – Bamfa Fofana, Western Connecticut

Fofana earns both Offensive Player and Rookie of the Week honors after helping WestConn pick up a pair of victories during the week. The Wolves opened with an 8-1 victory over Kean University before earning a 1-0 Little East victory over UMass Dartmouth.

Defensive Player of the Week – Enzo LaGrassa-Gillet, Western Connecticut

LaGrassa-Gillet contributed on both ends of the field as Western Connecticut went 2-0, defeating Kean, 8-1, before shutting out UMass Dartmouth, 1-0. The senior back totaled one goal and one assist for three points while helping anchor the Wolves’ back line. 

In the victory over Kean, LaGrassa-Gillet assisted on the opening goal in the third minute before scoring the eventual game-winner. He then helped the WestConn defense post a clean sheet against UMass Dartmouth. 

Goalkeeper of the Week – Bryant Amaral, Plymouth State

Amaral recorded a shutout in his lone appearance of the week, helping Plymouth State earn a 2-0 victory over VTSU Castleton. The first-year goalkeeper played all 90 minutes and stopped all four shots he faced, posting a 1.000 save percentage and a 0.00 goals-against average. 

The Coventry, R.I. native made three of his four saves in the opening half as the Panthers kept the Spartans off the scoreboard and secured the 2-0 victory.
