Field Athlete of the Week

Molly Lu McKellar (Hebron, Conn.) - Senior - Keene State
McKellar placed third in the heptathlon with a program record 4,533 points at Tufts’ Spring Stampede, a total that ranks her 13th in NCAA Division III this season, which saw her throw the shot put 12.80 meters to rank her 40th in the nation in that event. Additionally, she posted marks of 31.48 meters in the javelin, 5.07 meters in the long jump and 1.52 meters in the high jump. On the track, she went 15.26 in the 100 hurdles, 27.46 in the 200 dash and 2:35.12 in the 800. 

Track Athlete of the Week

Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) - Senior - UMass Boston
Garceau had another dominant weekend for the Beacons, which she opened by winning the 100 dash at the Regis Spring Classic with a finals time of 11.98 seconds after going 11.93 in the prelims - a time that now ranks her 13th in DIII. The following day, she broke her own NCAA Division III Record in the 100 hurdles, running 13.40 (+1.8) at the Silfen Invitational after posting a time of 13.53 (+3.0) in the prelims. 

Rookie Field Athlete of the Week

Casondra Caldwell (Bridgeport, Conn.) - Freshman - Eastern Connecticut
Caldwell won the triple jump with a leap of 11.34 meters at Southern Connecticut’s Wilton Wright Invitational, a mark that ranks her 36th in NCAA Division III. She also finished second in the long jump at 5.78 meters.

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week

Elle MacDonald (New Hampton, N.H.) - Freshman - Keene State
MacDonald placed third in the 200 with a time of 25.38 seconds at the Tufts Spring Stampede. That time broke her own program record, and ranks her 16th in New England this season.

Relay of the Week

Eastern Connecticut 4x100
The 4x100 relay composed of sophomore Givanni Perry and freshmen Shannon Tallis, Naziah Johnson and Casondra Caldwell broke the program’s 42-year-old record with a time of 48.60 in a third-place finish at the SCSU’s Wilton Wright Invitational. That time ranks them ninth in New England this season.
