Ella Smith (Chicopee, Mass.) - Senior - Western New England
Smith won three individual events and was a member of the winning 200 medley relay (1:59.34) as the Golden Bears dispatched LEC rival UMass Dartmouth 164-59 in a dual meet Saturday. Smith was first to finish in the 50 backstroke (28.75), 200 backstroke (2:16.65) and 500 freestyle (5:28.46). She owns the top time in the LEC this season in each of her individual events, and her 500 freestyle time established a new program record.
 
Rookie Swimmer of the Week

Jai-Lynn Wheeler (Stonington, Conn.) - Freshman - Eastern Connecticut
Wheeler posted three top-five individual finishes for the Warriors at the Roger Williams Invitational, leading them to a second-place team finish. She was third in the 100 freestyle (57.07) and 200 freestyle (2:05.27), and was fifth in the 50 free (26.52). Her 100 and 200 freestyle times are the fastest in the LEC this season. Wheeler was additionally a member of the runner-up 200 medley relay (1:59.64) and 400 freestyle relay (3:55.38).
