PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced its men’s golf weekly award winners for the week ending September 27, 2026. University of Southern Maine’s Will Farschon was named Player of the Week, while Eastern Connecticut State University’s Jacob Carlson earned Rookie of the Week honors following their performances at the Bowdoin Invitational.

Player of the Week – Will Farschon, Southern Maine

Farschon turned in a strong performance at the Bowdoin Invitational, finishing second overall among 88 golfers with a five-under-par total of 211. The junior from Brunswick, Maine, carded rounds of 71, 71 and 69 over the two-day, three-round tournament at the par-72, 6,601-yard Brunswick Golf Club. His final-round 69 was his best round of the tournament, while Southern Maine finished tied for ninth in the 16-team field. 

Rookie of the Week – Jacob Carlson, Eastern Connecticut

Carlson was Eastern Connecticut’s low scorer at the Bowdoin Invitational, tying for 15th overall with a three-round total of 221. The first-year golfer from Chelmsford, Mass., opened with a one-under-par 71 before posting rounds of 75 and 75 at Brunswick Golf Club. Carlson helped the Warriors finish sixth among 16 teams at the tournament.
