Player of the Week

Elliot Miles (Portsmouth, N.H.) - Junior -  UMass Boston
Miles batted .421 (8-for-19) with eight runs scored, 12 RBI, four home runs and four stolen bases in a 2-2 week for the Beacons. He was 2-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs scored in a 7-3 setback to Tufts before going 1-for-2 with two RBI and two runs in a 20-14 win over Lasell. He capped the week going off for three home runs as part of a 4-for-5 day game in a 15-13 LEC victory over defending conference champion Keene State, which saw him tally eight RBI and four runs scored. 

Pitcher of the Week

Carson Black (Porter, Maine) - Junior - Southern Maine
In two appearances, Black finished with a 0.00 ERA over six innings of work allowing just three hits (all singles) without yielding a walk. In a one-inning relief appearance in a 3-1 loss to Endicott, Black did not allow a walk or a hit in the eighth inning, earning a pair of ground outs and a fly out. In USM's 23-1 seven-inning win over RIC, Black earned the win throwing five shutout innings with three singles, no walks and three strikeouts. Black recorded his 100th career strikeout in the win to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Rookie of the Week

Jayden Cruz (Somerset, Mass.) - Freshman - UMass Dartmouth
Cruz helped the Corsairs to a 3-0 week, starting all three games at second base. He batted .385, recording five hits in 14 at-bats with a team-high seven runs scored and two runs batted in, and was a perfect 6-for-6 in stolen base attempts. Cruz 1-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI, stealing two bases in a 9-1 win over Suffolk to open the week. He went 3-for-3 with three runs scored, walking twice with four stolen bases in a 19-1 game-one victory over WestConn before going 1-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in a 16-3 win over the Wolves in the nightcap.
