Player of the Week

Hank Penders (Wethersfield, Conn.) - Senior - Catcher - Eastern Connecticut
Penders had the first multi-home run game of his career in an 11-6 win at Farmingdale State Sunday in the team’s only game of the week. Penders, who also threw out a baserunner, had three hits, scored three runs and drove in three runs and also reached on a walk in six plate appearances. He had a single and scored in the a three-run first, hit a two-run home run in a four-run third, walked in the fourth and slammed a solo home run in a two-run eighth.

Pitcher of the Week

Jonny Pagano (Attleboro, Mass.) - Sophomore - UMass Boston
Pagano tossed six shutout innings in an 8-2 win over SUNY Brockport in game-two of a doubleheader Saturday, allowed four hits and striking out five. 

Rookie of the Week

Sam Bradford  (Yarmouth, Maine) - Freshman - UMass Dartmouth
Bradford batted .500 (5-for-10) at the plate with four runs scored and two runs batted in in the Corsairs doubleheader sweep of SUNY Brockport Sunday. Of his five hits, one was a double and two were home runs - including the first of his career. In a 7-4 game-one win, Bradford went 2-for-5 and scored a run from the leadoff spot. In an 8-2 victory in game-two, He went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI, belting a home run over the left field wall to lead off the bottom of the first inning for his first collegiate home run. He then hit another home run in the bottom of the second to make it a 3-0 game.
