Swimmer of the Week

Mic Hujus (Westtown, N.Y.) - Junior - University of New England
Hujus takes the first LEC Swimmer of the Week honor for the season after winning the Keene State Pentathlon with a cumulative time of 3:01.63 for the five events, which was 4.97 seconds faster than the next closest competitor. She won the 50 freestyle (25.38), 50 butterfly (26.91), 50 backstroke (29.45), 100 individual medley (1:03.95), and placed fifth in the 50 breaststroke (35.94)

Hujus was also a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay that turned in a time of 1:48.86. She swam the final leg of the race in 24.93 seconds.

Rookie Swimmer of the Week

Bella Shrewsbury (Lynnfield, Mass.) - Freshman - University of New England
Shrewsbury won the first LEC Rookie Swimmer of the Week honor for the season after placing sixth at the Keene State Pentathlon with a cumulative time of 3:17.83 for the five events. She finished third in the 50 backstroke (30.92), eighth in the 50 freestyle (27.44), 10th in the 50 butterfly (30.33), 11th in the 100 individual medley (1:10.82) and 16th in the 50 breaststroke (38.29).

The first year was also a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay that turned in a time of 1:48.86, swimming the second leg of the race in 27.19 seconds, and swam the backstroke in 31.18 seconds as a member of the “C” 200 medley relay.
