REDDING, Conn. - The University of Southern Maine successfully defended its Little East Conference (LEC) men’s golf championship, taking home the team title with a two-day total of 671 (335-336) at the challenging par-71 Redding Country Club.
 
The Huskies were led by 2025 LEC Rookie of the Year Keenan Buteau, who posted a 164 to place third overall. He was one of three all-conference honorees for USM as a first team selection. Alex Fournier (seventh, 168) and Alex Grant (tied-eighth, 170) earned Second Team All-LEC honors.
 
Eastern Connecticut’s Ethan McDaniel earned medalist honors and was named the 2025 LEC Player of the Year after placing first overall with a two-day total of 156. He led the Warriors to a second-place team finish for the second consecutive season. Ryan O’Donnell tied for eighth overall for Eastern Connecticut with his two-day total of 170.

Eastern Connect's Jake Napolitan made history at this year's tournament, recording the first hole-in-one in LEC Championship history on the 187-yard par-three 13th. 
 
The complete team standings and award recipients are as follows. First Team All-LEC is awarded to the top-five place finishers, Second Team All-LEC is awarded to the ssixth-through-10th place finishers
