PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced its women’s soccer weekly award winners for the week ending September 20, 2026. Eastern Connecticut State University’s Alana Burnell, Keene State College’s Paige Smith and Michaela DiCicco, and WestConn’s Gracen Regan were recognized following their performances last week.

Offensive Player of the Week – Alana Burnell, Eastern Connecticut

Burnell totaled two goals and four points over 147 minutes as the Warriors went 1-1-0. The first-year forward scored Eastern Connecticut’s lone goal in a 2-1 setback at Westfield State University before finding the back of the net again in a 4-0 victory over Vermont State University Castleton. Burnell finished the week with nine shots, including four on goal, and increased her season total to 10 points on four goals and two assists.

Defensive Player of the Week – Paige Smith, Keene State

Smith anchored a Keene State defense that posted back-to-back shutouts during a 2-0-0 week. The senior defender played 169 of a possible 180 minutes as the Owls defeated Worcester State University, 4-0, and UMass Dartmouth, 1-0. Smith also contributed offensively against Worcester State, scoring the first goal of her collegiate career, which was featured at No. 4 on SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays.

Goalkeeper of the Week – Gracen Regan, WestConn

Regan recorded 15 saves while allowing just one goal over 180 minutes as WestConn went 1-0-1 on the road. The senior goalkeeper made 10 saves to earn a shutout in a scoreless draw at Farmingdale State College before adding five stops in a 2-1 victory at Plymouth State University. Regan finished the week with a 0.50 goals-against average, a .938 save percentage and one shutout.

Rookie of the Week – Michaela DiCicco, Keene State

DiCicco posted the first two shutouts of her collegiate career while helping Keene State to a 2-0-0 week. The first-year goalkeeper played all 180 minutes without allowing a goal and totaled 11 saves. She made six stops in a 4-0 victory over Worcester State before recording five saves in the Owls’ 1-0 win over UMass Dartmouth. DiCicco finished the week with a 0.00 goals-against average and a 1.000 save percentage.
