Gabrielle Sweeney (Shirley, Mass.) - Sophomore - Third Base - Rhode Island College
Sweeney helped RIC get off to a 3-1 start in Florida by batting .500 (6-for-12) with two runs scored, two doubles and an RBI. She went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a double and an RBI as RIC bested St. Scholastica, 8-3, on Saturday before going 3-for-3 with a run scored as the Anchorwomen edged North Central, 4-3 Sunday. 

Pitcher of the Week / Rookie of the Week

Mia Crudale (Cranston, R.I.) - Freshman - Rhode Island College
Crudale helped the Anchorwomen get off to a 3-1 start in Florida by appearing in three games, going 2-0 with a 1.14 ERA and five strikeouts in 12.1 innings of relief work. In an 8-3 win over St. Scholastica, allowing just one run on three hits in four innings to pick up her first collegiate win Saturday. She followed up with four innings of scoreless work to again earn the win as RIC bested North Central Sunday, 4-3. Crudale came on in relief in the first inning after RIC had given up five runs, and allowed just one run on five hits in 4.1 innings as the Anchorwomen ultimately fell to Penn State Brandywine, 8-2, Sunday.
