Player of the Week

Geena Cookinham (Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H.) - Freshman - Forward - Norwich
Cookinham was the offensive sparkplug for the Cadets en route to an East-West Classic title and earning Tournament MVP honors. She had two goals, including the game-winner, in a 5-2 win over No. 13 Elmira in the championship game to go with an assist against Oswego State in the Cadets’ tournament opener.

Goaltender of the Week

Kara Boassaly (Ottawa, Ontario) - Senior - Vermont State Castleton
Boassaly backstopped the Spartans to the 2026 Bagley Invitational title, posting a 0.51 goals against average and a .970 save percentage between the pipes on her way to being named Tournament MVP. Castleton took down Anna Maria 1-0 on Friday evening before holding off Worcester State University for a 3-2 win on Saturday. Boassaly pitched a 13-save shutout in Friday’s victory before adding 19 saves against the Lancers on Saturday. 

Rookie of the Week

Maggie Hunter (Royal Oak, Mich.) - Freshman - Defense - Norwich
Hunter showcased stellar two-way play for the Cadets this week, helping them win the East-West Classic championship while earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team. She was instrumental in Norwich allowing 2 even-strength goals on the weekend against Oswego State, which is receiving votes in the national poll, and 13th-ranked Elmira. She buried the game-winning goal and added an assist in Sunday’s 3-2 victory against the Lakers. Hunter was a +2 over the two games.
