Xavier Mendez (Pawtucket, R.I.) - Junior - Forward - Rhode Island College
Mendez averaged 22 points, 13.5 rebounds, three assists and 1.5 steals per game in a 2-0 week for the Anchormen, which saw him shoot 61 percent (14-of-23) from the floor and 88 percent (15-of-17) from the line. Mendez posted 27 points, 14 rebounds, one assist and one steal in a 99-92 win at Eastern Connecticut Wednesday before racking up 17 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and two steals in an 83-53 home victory over Plymouth State Saturday.

Rookie of the Week

Gabe Lash (Waldoboro, Maine) - Freshman - Forward - Southern Maine
Lash averaged 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in a 1-1 week in Little East Conference action for Southern Maine, shooting 64.3 percent (9-of-14) from the field, 60 percent (3-of-5) from three and 80 percent (12-of-15) from the line. In a 77-69 win at Plymouth State, Lash was 5-for-7 from the floor with a pair of threes for 17 points, adding four rebounds and two steals; he scored 11 of his 17 points in the second half. Lash then had 16 points, five rebounds and three steals in a 78-75 setback at WestConn on Saturday.
