Player of the Week

Raphel Laurent (Peabody, Mass.) - Sophomore - Guard - UMass Boston 
Laurent averaged 25.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in a 2-0 week for the Beacons, which saw him shoot 61 percent (19-of-31) from the field. He led all scorers with 29 points in the Beacons win at Eastern Connecticut to remain undefeated in LEC play, going 10-for-14 from the field and 8-of-9 at the line while leading the team with seven rebounds, three assists and three steals. Laurent opened the week with 22 points, 10 boards and three steals in an 80-74 non-conference triumph at City College of New York.

Rookie of the Week

Mahdee McNair (Sicklerville, N.J.) - Freshman - Guard - UMass Dartmouth
McNair averaged 13.3 points, three rebounds and two steals per game in a 2-1 week for the Corsairs. He netted 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor with five boards and three steals in an 80-69 victory at Suffolk before tallying 14 points with one rebound, one assist and one steal in an 84-72 win over MIT.
