Swimmer of the Week

Ella Smith (Chicopee, Mass.) - Senior - Western New England
Smith won a pair of individual events with one runner-up finish in the Golden Bears’ quad-match with Albertus Magnus College, UMass Dartmouth and Regis College. She was first to finish in the 1,650 freestyle (18:57.73) and 200 IM (2:18.01), and placed second in the 100 freestyle (55.98). She was also a member of the victorious 200 freestyle relay (1:50.04).

Diver of the Week

Riley Mahoney (Oakham, Mass.) - Senior - Husson
Mahoney swept the diving events in the Eagles’ 151-127 dual meet win over Gordon College, taking the one-meter, six-dive event with 221.35 points and the one-meter, five-dive event with 126.15 points. 

Rookie Swimmer of the Week

Rachel Mathews (West Hartford, Conn.) - Freshman - Eastern Connecticut
Matthews won both of her individual events in the Warriors’ 202-77 dual meet rout of the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) over the weekend, topping the podium in the 1,000 freestyle (11:52.51) and 100 freestyle (1:00.75). She was additionally the anchor of the second-place 200 freestyle relay (1:54.07) with a 27.99 split.

Rookie Diver of the Week

Sienna DeLucia (Wallingford, Conn.) - Freshman - Bridgewater State
DeLucia earned top honors in the one-meter diving competition with a career-best score of 270.05 points to qualify for the NCAA Division III Regional Diving Championships as the Bears hosted a tri-meet with Brandeis and Keene State.
