CSCAA Names BSU’s Simard Scholar All-American, Announces 2026 Spring Scholar All-America Teams 7/29/2026 10:15:03 AM RICHMOND, Va. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently announced its individual and team academic award recipients. To be eligible for either award, an institution must have at least one CSCAA dues-paying member. Bridgewater State University’s Cailey Simard was the LEC’s lone CSCAA Scholar All-America honoree, earning First Team Scholar All-America honors. Simard had another record-setting year for the Bears on her way to sweeping the LEC one-meter and three- meter championships and being named the 2025-26 LEC Diver of the Year, and advancing to the NCAA Division III National Championships for the second consecutive year. A native of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Simard finished with a 3.911 undergraduate cumulative grade point average, graduating early and starting her graduate studies this past spring semester. The kinesiology major earned a perfect 4.0 during the Fall 2025 semester. To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met an NCAA “B” qualifying standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet. Spring 2026 Scholar All-America Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2026 grade point averages, and were required to achieve a team GPA of 3.00 or higher.
