Field Athlete of the Week

Zoe Barnes (New Gloucester, Maine) - Senior - Southern Maine
Barnes broke her own program record in the shot put with a throw of 13.79 meters at the USM Open II Saturday. She now ranks third in NCAA Division III this season.

Track Athlete of the Week

Janiah Young (Perkinsville, Vt.) - Senior - Southern Maine
Young won the 55 dash at the USM Open II with a time of 7.35 seconds, a time that is tied for the third fastest in program history. Her converted 60 dash time of 7.92 is tied for first in the LEC this season.

Rookie Field Athlete of the Week

Eshaya Lauder (Manchester, N.H.) - Freshman - UMass Dartmouth
Lauder placed third in the long jump with a leap of 5/23 meters at the Wesleyan (Conn.) Winter Invitational Saturday. That mark places her fourth in the LEC so far this season.

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week

Madi Sainis (Pierrefords, Quebec) - Freshman - Southern Maine
Sainis placed second in the mile at the USM Open II with a time of 5:15.90 on Saturday. Her converted time of 5:12.81 ranks 20th in NCAA Division III so far this season.

Relay of the Week

Plymouth State 4x400
Sophomore Ani Flynn (Plymouth, N.H.), senior Cass Hanson (Stetson, Maine), sophomore Amelia Lefebvre (Greenland, N.H.) and freshman Clare Tuohy (Sunapee, N.H.) teamed for a second-place finish in the 4x400m relay in 4:23.40 at the Middlebury Snowflake Invitational on Saturday. It’s the third-best time in the LEC so far this season.
