La Crosse, WI (May 23, 2026) — Following a 13.48 qualifier in Friday's preliminary rounds, UMass Boston senior Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) carried her momentum into Saturday's final and emerged as National Champion for the fourth consecutive season — cementing her place as the greatest Division III women's hurdler of all time.

Garceau delivered the defining performance of her storied career when it mattered most. Over the opening hurdles, a competitive field pushed her to her absolute limit. But from the 40–50 meter mark onward, her championship pedigree took over. Pulling away at a blistering pace, she cleanly cleared all ten hurdles and crossed the finish line with a commanding five-to-ten meter advantage — stopping the clock at a jaw-dropping 13.28 seconds.

The time is historic by every measure: a new UMass Boston program record, a new NCAA Division III National Championship Meet Record, and the fastest wind-legal performance in DIII history in the 100 meter hurdles — shattering the previous all-conditions mark of 13.32 Gustavus Adolphus set in 2023. In doing so, she became the first Division III woman ever to break the 13.3 barrier, a milestone that redefines what is possible at the collegiate level.

Garceau's path to this moment has been nothing short of extraordinary. Making her first National Championship appearance as a sophomore in 2024, she earned All-American honors with a sixth-place finish of 14.05. From that moment on, she never looked back. She swept the indoor and outdoor national titles in both the 60 meter hurdles and 100 meter hurdles in 2025 and again in 2026, amassing four consecutive national championships dating back to March 2025 — each season punctuated by record after broken record.

The accolades off the track are equally staggering. A four-time Little East Conference Track Athlete of the Year, Garceau has earned more than 20 All-LEC First Team selections across multiple events, both indoors and outdoors. She is a three-time USTFCCCA Athlete of the Week honoree and a Northeast Regional Track Athlete of the Year — a list of accomplishments that ranks among the most decorated in UMass Boston Athletics history.

With today's finish, Aryianna Garceau puts a bow on one of the most remarkable careers in Division III track and field. The Beacons could not be prouder.

Coach Ozzie Brown added: "I'm super pleased with Ary's time. She's worked exceptionally hard these last two years and I know she's just scratching the surface. I'm super excited to see her future with her planning on running post-graduation!"

Garceau is planning on attending meets in the summer, eyeing the USA qualifying  B standard time of 13.25.
