He had six goals and three assists with five ground balls and a caused turnover in a 13-2 victory at Vermont State Castleton Saturday after first tallying four goals, two assists and three ground balls in a 13-2 win at Southern Maine Friday. Defensive Player of the Week James Cassidy (Weymouth, Mass.) - Senior - Defense - Massachusetts Maritime Cassidy was named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week after totaling three caused turnovers and seven ground balls in a 1-1 week for the Bucs. He had four ground balls and one caused turnover in Massachusetts Maritime’s 14-12 league victory at Keene State Saturday, marking the program’s first-ever win over the Owls. Goalie of the Week Gregory Hilinski (Shelton, Conn.) - Sophomore - Eastern Connecticut Hilinski was named the LEC Goalie of the Week after stopping 11 of the 16 shots on goal he faced in the Warriors’ 13-5 league win over Salem State Saturday, which was their only contest of the week. He had a .688 save percentage for the game, which saw him face 26 total shots. Rookie of the Week Jake Kelly (Bethpage, N.Y.) - Freshman - Goalie - Western Connecticut Kelly was named the LEC Rookie of the Week after going 2-0 with a 3.72 goals against average and e .632 save percentage between the pipes for the Wolves last week. He had five saves in a 25-5 league win at Southern Maine Friday before turning away seven shots on target in a 13-2 triumph at Vermont State Castleton Saturday.
