RIC’s Medbury Selected to Play in WBCA’s 2025 Women’s Collegiate All-Star Game

ATLANTA - The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WCBA) announced the rosters for the 2025 Women’s Collegiate All-Star Teams Monday, a list that includes Rhode Island College point guard Madison Medbury.
 
The 2025 Women’s Collegiate All-Star Game will be played Saturday, March 22 at 1 p.m., preceding the NCAA Division III women’s basketball national championship game in the Cregger Center on the campus of Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia.
 
Medbury’s list of accolades so far this season include being named the 2024-25 LEC Player of the Year and LEC Defensive Player of the Year, in addition to her being named First Team All-Little East Conference for the second consecutive season. She led the Anchorwomen most statistical categories this season, including points scored (448), scoring average (17.1 ppg), assists (133) and steals (64) - her 7.1 rebounds per game were second-best on the team. She led the LEC in assists, while ranking 12 in NCAA Division III in assists per game (5.1) and 15th in total assists.
 
The all-stars were chosen by a committee composed of head women’s basketball coaches of NCAA Division III programs, all of whom are members of the WBCA. All players were nominated by WBCA member coaches. Dixie Jeffers, retired head coach of Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, and Carroll LaHaye, retired head coach of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, will coach the teams.
