Keene State Claims LEC-Record 20th Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship

WELLESEY, Mass. - The Keene State College women’s swimming & diving teams reclaimed the Little East Conference championship Sunday night at the Boston Sports Institute, closing the three-plus day meet with its conference record 20th team title. The Owls totaled 779 points, aided by Rory Lee taking home the gold medal in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 18:54.79.
 
UNE’s Mic Hujus opened the final night’s competition by winning the 100 freestyle in 54.99 seconds, and then anchored the winning 400 freestyle relay that was also comprised of Eloise Ring, Payton Walmsley and Adria Horton. The pulled away in the final leg to finish with a winning time of 3:46.77.
 
Eastern Connecticut’s Tasha Frisch won the final individual event of the night in the 100 IM (1:02.48), out-touching Westfield State’s Alexa Richter (1:02.64). Fellow Warrior Camille Attle was victorious in the 200 butterfly with her time of 2:18.97. Bridgewater State’s Julie Remson won the LEC title in the 50 backstroke with her time of 25.21 seconds.
 
Western New England’s Ella Smith took home the gold medal in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:25.35 the was 11 second ahead of Keene State’s Mia Destefani’s runner-up time of 2:36.89.
 
The presentation of the 2025 LEC major award winners followed the night’s individual honors, following a vote of the LEC’s head coaches. This year’s recipients are as follows.
