Mendez shot 50 percent (8-for-16) as he racked up 17 points, nine boards, two assists and a steal in an 85-64 setback at 8-1 Connecticut College on Friday night. It was the lone game of the week for the Anchormen, who enter the winter break with an overall record of 7-4 that includes a 3-0 mark in LEC play.
