PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Little East Conference (LEC) announced its men’s and women’s cross country Coaching Staff of the Year recipients Friday, following a vote of the LEC’s head coaches, which went to Keene State College and Plymouth State University, respectively.
Owls’ head coach Dan Roark and assistant coach Dylan Flewelling guided Keene State to its second consecutive men’s cross country title last weekend. The Owls had three of the top-five finishers in the race in Tyler Bolaske (first), Griffin Urnezis (second) and Nick Terranova (fifth); Bolaske was named the LEC Runner of the Year for his performance.
Panthers’ head coach Alive Field and assistant coaches Eve Bagley and Eli Roth guided Plymouth State to its first women’s cross country title win since 2021, with five all-conference performers in Rose Karow (fourth), Emma Talon (10th), Madison Geddes (12th), Mia Sweeney (13th) and Abby Bergeron (14th). Talon was additionally named the 2025 LEC Rookie Runner of the Year.
The LEC has also announced its first-ever Sportsmanship Team honorees, as selected by the LEC head coaches:
