PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced its men’s cross country weekly award winners for the week ending September 13, 2026. Eastern Connecticut State University’s Noah Hauswirth was named Runner of the Week, while teammate Brayden Dunn earned Rookie of the Week honors following their performances at the George Suitor Invitational.

Runner of the Week – Noah Hauswirth, Eastern Connecticut

Hauswirth opened his junior season with a strong performance at the George Suitor Invitational, completing the 5K course in 15:58.9. The Branford, Conn. native finished 16th overall, crossing the line just 25 seconds behind the race winner. Hauswirth’s performance helped Eastern Connecticut secure a fourth-place team finish at the meet.

Rookie of the Week – Brayden Dunn, Eastern Connecticut

Dunn continued a strong start to his collegiate career at the George Suitor Invitational, completing the 5K in 16:00.1 to place 19th overall and help Eastern Connecticut finish fourth as a team. The first-year runner from Coventry, Conn. improved his time by more than a minute from his collegiate debut, when he finished fifth overall in 17:02.3 at the Castleton Invitational 5K.
