Field Athlete of the Week
Shannon Parks (Reading, Mass.) - Senior - Keene State
Parks was named the LEC Field Athlete of the Week after she won the weight throw with a school-record toss of 15.26 meters and the shot put at 12.03 meters at the USM Open II meet. Her mark in the weight throw is currently 19th best in the country, while her mark in the shot put ranks 25th in DIII this season.
Track Athlete of the Week
Rosemary Train (Long Island, Maine) - Junior - Southern Maine
Train was named the LEC Track Athlete of the Week after she won the 600-meter run with a time of 1:49.79 at the USM Open II. That time is currently 14th in New England Division III this season.
Rookie Field Athlete of the Week
Ella Boucher (Auburn, Maine) - Freshman - Southern Maine
Boucher was named the LEC Rookie Field Athlete of the Week after she won the long jump with a final jump of 4.80 meters at the USM Open II, which ranks her 19th in New England this season. She also placed third in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.40.
Rookie Track Athlete of the Week
Catriona Gould (Freeport, Maine) - Sophomore - Southern Maine
Gould was named LEC Rookie Track Athlete of the Week after notching a winning time of 7.50 seconds in the 55-meter dash at the USM Open II, tying her lifetime PR in the event. Her converted 60-meter time of 8.08 seconds tied her for ninth in New England this season.
Women’s Relay of the Week
Southern Maine 4x200
The Huskies’ 4x200m relay comprised of Gould, Boucher, Heaven Conley (Ogunquit, Maine) and Emma Noonan (Steep Falls, Maine) won the race at the USM Open II with a time of 1:53.19, a full 24 seconds ahead of the second place team.
