CASTLETON, Vt. - For the first time in program history, Plymouth State University is the Little East Conference women’s cross country champion. The Panthers totaled 69 team points edge out defending LEC champion Eastern Connecticut State by one point.
The Panthers were led by individual champion Kim Bowles, who brake the tape in 20:45. Maryann Cousens was sixth overall in 21:44, while Abby Snow was 14th in 22:19, giving Plymouth State three top-15 finishers. Bowles and Cousens earned First-Team All-LEC honors for their top-seven finish, while Snow garnered Second Team All-LEC honors for finishing in the top-14.
Also earning First Team All-LEC honors were Southern Maine’s Olivia Mosca (second, 21:00), Keene State’s Sarah Ames (third, 21:03), Western Connecticut’s Hope Johnsky (fourth, 21:13), Rhode Island College’s Shayna Cousineau (fifth, 21:17) and UMass Boston’s Grace Colon (seventh, 21:45)
The remaining Second Team All-LEC honorees are Eastern Connecticut’s Maggie Santacroce (eighth, 21:53) and Elisabeth Rodil (12th, 22:11), UMass Dartmouth’s Alexa VanVoorhis (ninth, 22:01) and Bee Greenberg (13th, 22:17, and Keene State’s Grace Furlong (10th, 22:08) and Hannah Jones (11th, 22:09
