LEC Tennis Student-Athletes and Teams Garner ITA Academic Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - A total of 21 Little East Conference (LEC) student-athletes and three teams were recently named recipients of academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the 2025-26 academic year.

The women’s programs from UMass Dartmouth, Salem State University and the University of Southern Maine earned the ITA All-Academic Team Award. To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
  • All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
  • All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
  • Be listed on the institutional eligibility form

The LEC’s ITA Scholar Athlete recipients are listed below. In addition to the individual award requirements listed above, the institution must be a dues-paying member of the ITA.
