PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Little East Conference (LEC) announced its 2026 men's tennis major award winners and all-conference teams Thursday, following a vote of the league's head coaches. Bridgewater State University swept the major awards after winning the LEC regular season and tournament titles. 

Singles Player of the Year / Rookie of the Year: Will Horton, Bridgewater State

• Posted a 5-1 LEC record at No. 1 Singles during the regular season.
• Is 10-4 overall in his first collegiate season, all at the top of the Bears lineup. 
• Named 2026 LEC Championship Tournament Most Outstanding Player

Doubles Team of the Year: Adam Beatrice / Khiem Nguyen, Bridgewater State

• Posted a 5-1 LEC record at No. 1 Doubles during the regular season.
• Is 10-4 overall in his first collegiate season, all at the top of the Bears lineup. 

Coach of the Year: David Purpura, Bridgewater State

• Guided the Bears to the 2026 LEC regular season and tournament championships for the second time in three seasons. 
• BSU is 12-4 overall this season, and will face Skidmore in the opening round of the NCAA tournament on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
