PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Little East Conference announced its annual softball award recipients Thursday afternoon, following a vote of the league's head coaches. 

Player of the Year - Raelynn Perregaux, UMass Dartmouth

• Started in each of her 41 games played so far this season. 
• Batting .430 with a program-record 65 hits, 19 doubles, six homers, 32 RBI and 38 runs scored. 
• LEC leader in hits and doubles, while ranking ion the top-five in batting average, slugging (.709), home runs and runs scored. 
• Also named Most Outstanding Player of the 2026 LEC Softball Championship Tournament. 
• Has a .926 fielding percentage at third base with just 13 errors in 176 chances.
• Is now the Corsairs' all-time leader in career hits with 191.

Pitcher of the Year - Elizabeth Mitchell, Eastern Connecticut

• Posted a 12-8 overall record with five saves in her 28 appearances (19 starts)
• Owns a 2.08 ERA and .239 opponent batting avcerage, while recording 112 strikeouts in 137.2 innings.
• Ranks in the toop-five in the LEC in each of the above categories.
• Also batted .351 with 33 hits, 12 extra-base hits, 16 RBI and 25 runs scored.

Rookie of the Year - Liv Wentworth, UMass Boston

• Started in each of her 40 games played. 
• Batted .344 with 43 hits, 12 extra-base hits, 22 RBI and 34 runs scored while going 12-for-13 in steal attempts.
• Posted a .939 fielding percentage at shortstop, with just 10 errors in 165 chances.  

Co-Coach of the Year - Rachael Powers, UMass Dartmouth

• Guided the Corsairs to a record of 30-11 so far this season, her third leading the program. 
• UMass Dartmouth won the 2026 LEC tournament title as the No. 2 seed to punch its ticket to the NCAA tournament.  

Co-Coach of the Year - Eric Kraut, Vermont State Castleton

• Guided the Spartans to an overall record of 21-14 in 2026, his second leading the program. 
• Castleton won the LEC regular season title with a 12-4 league record after being picked seventh in the preseason coaches' poll.
