Player of the Week
Evan Baschnagel (Garden City, N.Y.) - Junior - Southern Maine
Baschnagel batted .600 (6-for-10), slugged 1.100 and posted a .692 on-base percentage to help Southern Maine to a 3-0 week, including a pair of Little East wins on the road at WestConn. From the leadoff spot in the Huskies' lineup, Baschnagel notched seven runs scored and three RBI, collecting a pair of doubles and his team-leading seventh home run of the season ,and going 3-for-3 on stolen bases. With USM outscoring its opponents 50-5 during the week, Baschnagel was 3-for-4 with two RBI, including a double and a home run in the Huskies' 6-2 win over WestConn to close out the week after going 1-for-2 with a walk, two hit-by-pitch, and four runs scored in the 17-2 opener with the Wolves.
Pitcher of the Week
Jordan Paradis (North Attleboro, Mass.) - Junior - UMass Dartmouth
Paradis lifted the Corsairs to a 7-1 win over Eastern Connecticut on Saturday, allowing just one run on one hit against the Warriors over eight innings pitched. He struck out 11 batters over the course of his outing against Eastern Connecticut, which is receiving votes in the D3baseball.com Poll. He finished the game strong, fanning five of the 10 batters he faced over the final three innings he pitched, including two of three batters in the eighth. His effort helped the Corsairs post their first regular season sweep of the Warriors since the 2016 season, and for just the second time since the inception of Little East baseball in 1997.
Rookie of the Week
Kaiden Morin (Brewer, Maine) - Freshman - Southern Maine
Playing and starting in two games at catcher, Moring finished the week hitting 5-for-8 (.625) with three runs scored, and five RBI. In a 27-2 win versus UMaine Farmington, Morin was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI. Starting game-two for the Huskies' in their LEC sweep of WestConn, Morin was 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI. Morin had a two-run double to plate the Huskies first two runs of the game, and added an RBI single in the top of the ninth as USM won 6-2.
