Yankee Ford LEC Softball Athletes of the Week: April 20, 2026 4/20/2026 12:31:33 PM Player of the Week Aislin Davis (Tewksbury, Mass.) - Sophomore - Southern Maine From the lead off spot, Davis hit .682 (15-for-22) with 10 runs scored and an on-base percentage of .696 drawing a walk during the Huskies' 5-1 week, which included five multi-hit games. She was 3-for-4 with two runs scored in both of USM’s non-conference wins over the University of New England (8-2 and 5-1), and was a combined 4-for-6 with four runs scored in a non-conference sweep at Salve Regina (10-1 and 7-1). Davis capped her week going 5-for-8 in a LEC split at Keene State, going 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in the Huskies' 7-1 victory. Pitcher of the Week Elizabeth Mitchell (Coventry, Conn.) - Sophomore - Eastern Connecticut Mitchell was 3-0 in her six total appearances last week, posting a 0.58 ERA and 18 Ks over 24.1 innings of work. She tossed a two-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Keene State before allowing one earned on five hits with three Ks in a 5-2 non-conference win at WPI. Mitchell allowed one run on four hits while fanning six batters in a 3-1 game-one win over UMass Boston before earning the save after not allowing a hit over the final 1.2 innings of a 4-1 game-two win over the Beacons. Rookie of the Week Allie Cecere (Plainville, Mass.) - Freshman - Plymouth State Cecere went 2-1 with a 1.26 earned run average over 16.2 innings last week. She went the distance in both of her starts, allowing just three hits and a run while striking out four in a hard luck 1-0 loss to Vermont State Castleton on Tuesday, before pitching two innings of hitless ball in relief to earn the victory in game two against the Spartans. She allowed just one run in a 7-1 win over WestConn on Saturday, and struck out two of the three batters she faced to close out a 9-4 win over NEC on Thursday.
