LEC Yankee Ford Softball Athletes of the Week: April 13, 2026 4/13/2026 12:12:27 PM Player of the Week Kendall Allen (Naugatuck, Conn.) - Junior - Western Connecticut Allen batted .400 (12-for-30) with 18 RBI, six runs scored, two doubles and two home runs over a 6-2 week for the Wolves. She was 2-for-5 with two runs, four RBI, a double and a homer in a 13-5 win at Farmingdale to open the week before going 2-for-3 with a solo homer and five RBIs in a 9-1 win at Purchase. In a weekend conference split versus Keene State, Allen was a combined 6-for-9 with a double, two runs and eight RBIs. Pitcher of the Week Madison Gould (Whitehall, N.Y.) - Junior - VTSU Castleton In the team's 3-1 week, including a key LEC sweep of Eastern Connecticut, Gould was 2-0 with a 2.50 ERA in 14 innings. Against Eastern Connecticut, Gould earned the win in the opener, tossing a complete game three-hit shutout while striking out eight and walking none, helping the Spartans hand the Warriors their first loss in league play as they moved into first place in the LEC standings. Earlier in the week, Gould also earned a decision in her other start of the week, a league win at Keene State. Gould improved to 8-1 on the season with the two wins. Rookie of the Week Lorelei Stancavage (Bristol, Conn.) - Freshman - Western Connecticut Stancavage batted .455 (10-for-22) with two doubles, one triple, eight RBI and five runs scored in the Wolves’ 6-2 week. She was 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and two doubles in a 6-4 victory at Purchase, including driving home the game-winning run in the eighth inning to defeat the Panthers, after going 2-for-3 with a run, an RBI and a triple in a 5-2 loss at Farmingdale State. Stancavage was 3-for-8 with four RBI in a doubleheader sweep at Mount St. Mary, and 1-for-3 with an RBI and a stolen base in WestConn’s 7-6 LEC win against Keene State.
