Field Athlete of the Week

Zoe Barnes (New Gloucester, Maine) - Senior - Southern Maine
Barnes took home the Lynn Ruddy Women’s Field MVP award at the Maine State Meet after winning both the shot put (13.80m) and weight throw (16.98m). Her marks are both program records and rank in top-15 in NCAA Division III this season - she is tied for ninth in the shot put and is listed 12th in the weight throw. 

Track Athlete of the Week

Aryianna Garceau (Dalton, Mass.) - Senior - UMass Boston
Competing in a pair of meets this weekend, Garceau ran 7.77 in the 60-meter dash at the Wheaton Invitational and posted a time of 24.84 at UMass Lowell’s Riverhawk Invitational. Her time in the 200 ranks 17th in NCAA Division III this season, while her 60 dash time is 38th in the country. 

Rookie Field Athlete of the Week

Anaka Eaton (Coventry, Conn.) - Freshman - Eastern Connecticut
Had the fourth-best throw and best among freshmen this year in the Little East Conference with a mark of 12.38 meters in a sixth-place finish among 31 competitors in the invitational division of the shot put at the River Hawk Invitational at the TRACK as the top freshman. Also placed 16th among 33 in the invitational division of the weight throw with a mark of 14.14 meters

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week

Naibel Noriega, Rhode Island College
Noriega had a pair of personal best performances at UMass Lowell's Riverhawk Invitational as she placed ninth in the 200 (26.18) and 11th in the 400 (58.56). She also posted a time of 8.18 seconds in the 60-meter dash.

Relay of the Week

Keene State 4x400
Mia Cruz, Caroline Cooper, Keely Giordano and Elle MacDonald combined to post a time of 4:00.02 at UMass Lowell’s Riverhawk Invitational, which ranks as the fifth-best time in New England.
