Four More Conference Records Fall on Second Day of 2026 LEC Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships 2/15/2026 12:24:21 AM WELLESLEY, Mass. - Four conference records fell on the second night of competition at the 2026 Little East Conference (LEC) Men’ Swimming & Diving Championship at the Boston Sports Institute Friday night. Bridgewater State University leads the race for the team title heading into the final day of competition Sunday with 606 points. Maine Maritime Academy sits in second place with 583.5 points, and Eastern Connecticut State University holds the third position in the team standings with 519.5 points. Bridgewater State’s Yi Hao NG won gold with a LEC-record time of 57.33 in the 100 breaststroke to lead a podium sweep for the Bears, as Ryan McKenzie (1:00.18) and James Hein (1:00.40) placed second and third, respectively. Aaron Fowler topped the field in the 50 butterfly for the Bears with his winning time of 22.55 seconds. BSU opened the night’s events with a LEC record setting time of 1:33.94 in the 200 medley relay. The Bears 800 capped the night’s events with a gold medal winning and conference record setting time of 7:10.86 Husson Ryan Emerson set a new LEC record in the 100 backstroke with his gold medal winning time of 52.98 seconds; Maine Maritime’s Connor Hedstrom also surpassed the previous conference record (53.81) in the event with his runner-up time of 53.09. Alexander Walsh also claimed individual gold for the Eagle with his victory in the 200 freestyle (1:45.13). Maine Maritime’s Cox completed a sweep of the diving events by claiming the 1-meter title to cap off the opening session with his score of 414.75. Husson rookie Kobe Swett was the runner-up with 342.95 points, while Mariner Michael Ordonez took third with 332.45 points. MMA’s B Boyer led a one-two finish in the 1,000 freestyle to close out the morning’s swimming events with a time of 10:11.85, while teammate James Creegan was second in 10:43.15. Eastern Connecticut’s Boden Tito won gold in the 400 IM to kick off Saturday night’s individual competition. Competition resumes at the LEC Men’s Swimming & Diving Championship Sunday morning at 10 a.m. before concluding with Sunday night’s finals events that get underway at 5:30 p.m.
