Bridgewater State Reclaims LEC Men’s Swimming & Diving Crown 2/16/2026 12:22:22 AM WELLESLEY, Mass. - For the fourth time in five seasons, Bridgewater State University captured the Little East Conference (LEC) men’s swimming & diving championship, as the Bears tallied 870 points at the Boston Sports Institute during Presidents Day weekend. BSU won each of the first three LEC titles from 2022-24. Maine Maritime Academy was the conference runner-up with 786.5 points, edging Eastern Connecticut (756.5) by just 30 points. Husson University (672), Keene State College (457) and Plymouth State University (163) rounded out the men’s swimming & diving standings. 2026 LEC Major Award Winners Men’s Diver of the Year: Oliver Cox, Maine Maritime Men’s Swimmer Diver of the Year: Yi Hao “Desmond” NG, Bridgewater State Men’s Rookie Diver of the Year: Kobe Swett, Husson Men’s Rookie Swimmer Diver of the Year: B Boyer, Maine Maritime Men’s Swimming & Diving Coaching Staff of the Year: Husson Sunday Finals Hao recorded another LEC record performance, this time in the 200 breaststroke as he topped the podium in 2:04.76. It was one of two individual wins for the Bears on the final night of competition, as Aaron Fowler earned the 200 butterfly gold medal with his time of 1:55.55. Husson had a pair of LEC-record setting performances, as the Eagles won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:10.95 and Alex Walsh secured gold in the 100 freestyle with his time of 47.14 seconds. Those were two of four event wins on the night for Husson, which also saw Ryan Emerson win the 50 backstroke (24.75) and Brady Hand win the 100 IM (54.66). B Boyer led a one-two finish in the 1,650 freestyle for the Mariners with his time of 17:12.40, while teammate James Creegan clocked in at 18:05.47. Keene State’s Alec Agosto rounded out the podium with his time of 18:10.34.
