GORHAM, Maine  –  Earning its 20th win of the season with a 98-72 win over Eastern Connecticut State Unviersity on the road this Saturday, the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's basketball team improved its 2025-2026 record to 20-2 overall and 12-1 in the Little East Conference.

The Huskies' 98-72 win over the Warriors was a successful bounce-back game after dropping a close road game at Rhode Island College to end Southern Maine's 16-game win streak.  Following the 1-1 week in conference play, the Huskies remain No. 25 in the most recent Women's Basketball Coaches' Association (WBCA) Division III National Poll, and are in the "Also Receiving Votes" category of the D3hoops.com Women's Basketball Pol.
