Player of the Week

Abby Wager (Mansfield, Mass.) - Junior - Guard - Rhode Island College 
Wager helped the Anchorwomen to a pair of Little East victories last week to raise their current win streak to seven games by averaging 23 points, 9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per contest. She was dominant in a 70-62 triumph over No. 24/25 Southern Maine, netting 29 points with 10 rebounds, three assists and four steals as RIC knocked off the league-leading Huskies, snapping their 16-game winning streak. Wager then racked up 17 points, eight rebounds, two assists, three blocks and a steal in a 64-52 win at UMass Boston to cap the week on Saturday.

Rookie of the Week

Macy Swormstedt (Laconia, N.H.) - Freshman - Guard - Plymouth State
Swormstedt averaged 19.5 points and 9.0 rebounds a game while shooting 71 percent (15-of-21)  from the floor to help PSU split a pair of conference games last week, adding eight assists and eight steals over the two contests. Swormstedt went 6-of-9 from the field and 3-of-4 from distance for 20 points and added six rebounds, three steals, and an assist in 36 minutes of action during a 64-50 setback at Keene State on Wednesday. She neared a triple-double in Saturday’s lopsided 84-54 win over UMass Dartmouth – scoring 19 points (9-of-12 shooting), with career-highs of 12 rebounds and five steals, and dishing out seven assists.
