He had a goal and a helper against Plymouth State, which Norwich won in the shootout after the two teams battled to a 3-3 draw through overtime. Van Waterschoot also won 53 percent (32-of-60) of his faceoffs taken for the week, going 10-11 against Middlebury and 17-10 against Plymouth State, and was a +6 for the week. Tyler Stewart (Pittsburgh, Pa.) - Senior - Forward - UMass Dartmouth It was a career weekend for Stewart, as he helped lift the Corsairs to a 2-0-0 record in conference play with a sweep of UMass Boston, tallying seven points over the two contests. In a 6-4 road victory on Friday night, Stewart tied a career-high with four assists, posting helpers on each of the Corsairs four goals in the first period of play. In a 5-2 home victory the following day, Stewart scored the first two goals of the game in the first period (one on the power play) to put UMass Dartmouth up 2-0, and then tacked on another power play goal - the team's fourth of the game - in the third period. It marked his second hat trick of the season and the third of his career. Goaltender of the Week Marshall McKallip (Pittsburgh, Pa.) - Senior - UMass Dartmouth McKallip had an outstanding effort in the Corsairs 5-2 victory over UMass Boston on Saturday afternoon as he finished with a career-high 51 saves against the Beacons, including a 24-save effort in the second period. It was his lone game of the weekend, which saw UMass Dartmouth sweep UMass Boston, and his second outing with 45-or-more saves this season. Rookie of the Week David Coyle (Vancouver, British Columbia) - Freshman - Forward - Vermont State Castleton Coyle and the Spartans went 1-1 in conference play this weekend, dropping a hard fought 5-4 overtime decision at Plymouth State on Friday evening before blanking New England College, 3-0, on Saturday. The rookie recorded three points in the loss to the Panthers, tallying two assists and a goal, before adding an assist on Saturday’s eventual game-winner to skate away from the weekend with four points. He also finished with two blocked shots and a +2 rating against the Pilgrims.
