PROVIDENCE, R.I. - A total of six Little East Conference (LEC) field hockey players are among those listed on the 2025 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Watchlist, powered by Performance Sports Events (PSE). They are among the 175 student-athletes from 84 Division III institutions who have been named to the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist.
The NFHCA Watchlist “is intended to showcase those field hockey student-athletes with the strongest potential for consideration to the current year’s NFHCA All-Region and All-American teams. To be nominated for the 2025 NFHCA Watchlist, student-athletes must have been previously recognized for their outstanding field hockey abilities within the past two years (NFHCA All-Region, NFHCA All-American, All-Conference, Senior Nexus Championship selection, NCAA All-Tournament Team, and/or U.S. National or International Team roster) and nominated by their NFHCA member coach.”
Grace Bazin - Senior - Forward - Keene State
- 2024 NFHCA Second Team All-Region selection.
- Named LEC Offensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-LEC selection in 2024.
- Started in all 22 games, totaling a career-best 26 goals and 59 total points.
Sophia Bouffard - Junior - Defense - UMass Dartmouth
- Named Second Team All-LEC in 2024.
- Started in 19 of her 20 games played in 2024 and totaled 12 defensive saves, the seventh-most in DIII.
- Also totaled eight goals and two assists for 10 total points.
Zoe Martin - Senior - Goalkeeper - Vermont State Castleton
- 2024 Second Team All-LEC selection.
- Started all 21 games in 2024, going 16-5 with five shutouts.
- Posted a 2.03 goals against average and .711 save percentage while totaling 106 saves.
Peyton Richardson - Senior - Midfield - Vermont State Castleton
- 2024 NFHCA Second Team All-Region selection.
- 2024 First Team All-LEC selection.
- Led the Spartans with career-high totals of 13 goals, 10 assists and 36 points while starting all 21 games.
Jess Smithson - Senior - Defense - Vermont State Castleton
- 2024 NFHCA Second Team All-Region selection.
- Names LEC Defensive Player of the Year and a First Team All-LEC selection in 2024.
- Started in each of her 20 games played while totaling a career-best 29 points on 11 goals and seven assist while notching three defensive saves.
