PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The University of Massachusetts Boston men’s soccer team was named the favorite to win the Little East Conference (LEC) championship in 2025, according to the results of the annual preseason coaches’ poll. The Beacons totaled 62 points and picked up six first-place votes.
Defending LEC regular season and tournament champion Western Connecticut State University was picked to finish second in the league in 2025, totaling 56 points and two first-place votes. The Wolves were 15-53 overall last season, which included a 7-1-0 mark in LEC play.
Rhode Island College was picked to finish third in the poll with 51 points and claimed the remaining first-place vote. The Anchormen were 11-6-3 overall last season and fell to WestConn in the LEC title game.
Eastern Connecticut State University is picked to place fourth in the 2025 standings with 40 points, while Vermont State University Castleton and Keene State College round out the projected six-team LEC tournament field. The complete 2025 LEC Men’s Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll is as follows.
