Three LEC Baseball Standouts Named to 2025 ABCA Region 2 All-Defensive Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - A trio of Little East Conference (LEC) baseball standouts have been named to the 2025 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Division III Region 2 All -Defensive Team, it was recently announced by the organization.
 
Eastern Connecticut State University senior Ray Leonzi secured one of the three outfield positions after posting a perfect fielding percentage in his 97 total chances, which saw him record 95 putouts and two assists. Also named a Fourth Team All-American by the ABCA and a First Team All-LEC selection, Leonzi batted .379 with 67 hits, 11 doubles, 12 homers, 61 runs scored and 44 RBI.
 
Joining him in among the outfield honorees is the 2025 LEC Player of the Year, Keene State College junior Tommy Ahlers, who posted a perfect field percentage with 99 putouts and one assist. Named Fourth Team All-America by D3baseball.com, Ahlers batted .426 with 72 hits, 13 doubles, seven homers, four triples, 48 RBI and 44 runs scored as he led the Owls to LEC regular season and tournament championships.
 
Rhode Island College sophomore Parker Camelo secured the Defensive All-Region spot at second base after posting a .970 fielding percentage, totaling 74 putouts, 85 assists and five errors in his 164 total chances. He also batted .327 with 55 hits, 10 doubles, four home runs, 38 runs scored and 24 RBI on his way to earning Second Team All-LEC and Third Team All-Region honors from both the ABCA and D3baseball.com.
