Yankee Ford LEC Women’s Track & Field Athletes of the Week: December 15, 2025 12/15/2025 2:59:48 PM Field Athlete of the Week Zoe Barnes (New Gloucester, Maine) Southern Maine Barnes beat her own program record in the shot put with a winning throw of 13.52 meters at the USM Alumni Open on Saturday, a mark that ranked her fourth in NCAA Division III this season. She also won the weight throw at 15.39 meters that ranks 23rd in the nation. Track Athlete of the Week Haley Oliver (Coventry, R.I.) - Senior - Rhode Island College Oliver won the mile with a time of 5:12.59 at Southern Connecticut State’s Art Kadish Elm City Challenge, helping lead RIC to a third-place finish among the 11 scoring teams at the meet. That time placed her 18th in DIII so far this season. She was also a member of the runner-up 4x400 relay (4:12.51). Rookie Field Athlete of the Week Anaka Eaton (Coventry, Conn.) - Freshman - Eastern Connecticut Easton finished fifth in the shot put (11.55m) and seventh in the weight throw (13.68m) at Southern Connecticut State’s Art Kadish Elm City Challenge, helping lead Eastern Connecticut to a fourth-place finish at the 13-team meet. Rookie Track Athlete of the Week Madi Sainis (Pierrefords, Quebec) - Freshman - Southern Maine Sainis won the 1,000-meter run at Saturday's USM Alumni Open with a time of 3:12.24. Relay of the Week Rhode Island College 4x400 Oliver, Naibel Noriega, Quiana Pezza and Lexie Zakrzewski combined to post a second-place time of 4:12.51 at Southern Connecticut State’s Art Kadish Elm City Challenge, helping lead RIC to a second-place finish at the 13-team meet. That time ranks them 46th in DIII.
