Field Athlete of the Week

Brandon Mota (West Warwick, R.I.) - Senior - Rhode Island College
Mota placed third in the weight throw with his toss of 16.74 meters at Southern Connecticut State’s Art Kadish Elm City Challenge, helping lead RIC to a second-place finish at the 13-team meet. That mark ranks him 29th in NCAA Division III this season.

Track Athlete of the Week

Younton Doe (Pawtucket, R.I.) - Junior - Rhode Island College
Doe placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.85 seconds  at Southern Connecticut State’s Art Kadish Elm City Challenge, helping lead RIC to a second-place finish at the 13-team meet. He was also a member of the winning 4x400 relay (3:32.35).

Rookie Field Athlete of the Week

Christian Briggs (West Warwick, R.I.) - Freshman - Rhode Island College
Briggs placed 13th in the weight throw with his toss of 13.62 meters at Southern Connecticut State’s Art Kadish Elm City Challenge, helping lead RIC to a second-place finish at the 13-team meet.

Rookie Track Athlete of the Week

Hagen Drake (Stonington, Conn.) - Freshman - Eastern Connecticut
Drake was runner-up in the 400-meter dash (51.16) and placed fourth in the 55-meter hurdles (8.05) at Southern Connecticut State’s Art Kadish Elm City Challenge, helping lead Eastern Connecticut to a fifth-place finish at the 13-team meet.

Relay of the Week

Southern Maine 4x400
The Huskies' 4x400 relay team of Camden Brown, Jon Dalessandro, Harry Dunne and Pashalis Pashalidis placed first at Saturday's USM Alumni Open with a time of 3:32.08 in the four-team race.
