KEENE, N.H. - The Plymouth State University women’s cross country team claimed the 2025 Little East Conference championship Saturday, posting a team total of 53 points, edging out meet host Keene State College by six points. Rose Karow paced the Panthers with her fourth-place time of 22:49.00, which earned her First Team All-LEC honors for placing in the top-seven.
PSU’s Emma Talon was named the 2025 LEC Rookie Runner of the Year after placing 10th in 23:38.00. She was one of four Panthers to be named Second Team All-LEC (8-14), along with Madison Geddes (12th, 23:53.30), Mia Sweeney (13th, 23:55.90) and Abby Bergeron (14th, 24:01.80).
Rhode Island College’s Haley Oliver was named the 2025 LEC Runner of the Year Saturday after winning the race in 21:32.40, which was over 40 seconds ahead of runner-up Maggie St. John’s time of 22:14.30 to pace the Owls. UMass Boston’s Shea Roche was third in 22:24.30.
Also earning First Team All-LEC were Southern Maine’s Gwen Catalano (fifth, 23:02.70), UMass Dartmouth’s Sarah Lynch (6th, 23:18.30) and Kallie Warner (seventh, 23:30.00). Eastern Connecticut had a pair of Second Team All-LEC performers in Isabel Cintron (eighth, 23:32.60) and Emely Melendez (11th, 23:45.10), while Sophie Owen (9th, 23:32.80) had a second-team showing for the Corsairs.
