Yankee Ford LEC Women’s Volleyball Athletes of the Week: October 27, 2025 10/27/2025 2:36:24 PM Offensive Player of the Week Julia Stoliker (Red Hook, N.Y.) - Junior - Outside Hitter - Western Connecticut Stoliker averaged 4.75 kills and 5.19 points per set while hitting .326 in a 2-0 week for the Wolves as they blanked Southern Maine in league play before edging WPI in a five-set nailbiter, 3-2 (30-28, 24-26, 25-19, 19-25, 15-12) in a tri-match on Saturday. She tallied a match-high 19 kills with seven digs, two blocks and an ace against the Huskies before adding another 19 kills with nine digs and an ace against the Engineers. Defensive Player of the Week Emily Pogorelec (Wayne, N.J.) - Senior - Defensive Specialist - UMass Dartmouth Pogorelec helped UMass Dartmouth to a 2-0 mark in Little East play with 43 digs (5.38 digs per set). She recorded a match-high 27 digs with five assists and an ace in a 3-2 win over UMass Boston on Wednesday, and registered a match-high 16 digs with five assists in a 3-0 victory over Eastern Connecticut State on Saturday. The Corsairs are in sole possession of first place in the LEC standings at 7-0, with only one league match remaining against rival Plymouth State Saturday. Setter of the Week Maggie Ferguson (Southbury, Conn.) - Senior - Western Connecticut Ferguson averaged 9.63 assists per set in a 2-0 week for the Wolves. She had 33 assists with nine digs and four kills in the sweep of Southern Maine before tallying 44 assists with 10 digs and three kills in the five-set thriller against WPI. Rookie of the Week Sya McKay (Somersworth, N.H.) - Freshman - Middle Hitter - Plymouth State McKay averaged 2.67 kills and 1.50 blocks per set in a 3-0 week for the Panthers, hitting .313 and adding six aces. McKay opened her week with eight kills (.500), seven blocks and two aces as PSU swept Southern Maine on Wednesday. On Saturday, she slammed 12 kills and chipped in three aces as the Panthers held off Gordon in five sets, before pounding another 12 kills (.500) with a program record 11 blocks – including program-best nine solo blocks – in a four-set win over Framingham State.
