D3baseball.com Names Eastern Connecticut’s Hamm National Coach of the Year

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Eastern Connecticut State University head baseball coach Brian Hamm added another accolade to his resume, as he was named the 2022 D3baseball.com Coach of the Year.
 
Hamm guided the Warriors to an overall record of 49-3 in 2022, capping his fourth season at Eastern with the program’s fifth NCAA Division III national championship. The team’s 49 victories and .942 winning percentage are both program records.
 
The Warriors ended the season with a program-record 23-game winning streak, which saw them win the Little East Conference (LEC), regional and super regional championships on their way to the national title win. They did so as the No. 1 ranked team in the country according to the D3baseball.com and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Division III polls.
 
Hamm repeated as the LEC Coach of the Year in 2022, and in addition to being named the regional Coach of the Year by D3baseball.com for the second time in as many seasons. He has guided the Warriors to a record of 108-30 in his four seasons in Mansfield, and owns a career mark of 329-143 in his 13 seasons as a head coach.
