Player of the Week

Kyle Douin (Augusta, Maine) - Senior - Southern Maine
Douin batted .586 (17-for-29) with five doubles and four home runs for a 1.172 slugging percentage while driving in 16 runs and scoring 11 times in a 4-2 week for the 28th-ranked Huskies. He had six mult-hit games, with at least one extra-base hit in each contest. 

Douin was 3-for-6 with a double, a home run, four RBI and three runs scored in a 23-5 rout of Plymouth State before going 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in an 8-7 setback at Saint Joseph’s (Maine). He then recorded his third consecutive three-hit performance in an 8-3 win over No. 3 Salve Regina that saw him post one double, one homer, two RBI and two runs scored. The senior first baseman then went a combined 6-for-10 with one homer, two doubles, six RBI and four runs in a league sweep of Vermont State Castleton before capping the week going 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored in an 8-7 loss at Bates. 

Pitcher of the Week

Hayden Strout (Charleston, Maine) - Freshman - Southern Maine
Strout earned the win in USM's 8-3 victory against No. 3 Salve Regina.  Strout allowed three earned runs over six innings, yielding seven hits and five walks while striking out three in the upset victory. 

Rookie of the Week

Carter Dickinson (Montauk, N.Y.) - Freshman - Vermont State Castleton
Dickinson batted .458 (11-for-24) with three doubles and three homers for a .958 slugging percentage while piling up 15 RBIs and eight runs scored in a 2-3 week for the Spartans. In a thrilling 14-13, 10-inning win over Middlebury, the rookie posted two hits with two RBIs, including a two-run home run to give Castleton a 6-4 lead in the third inning. In the 24-15 win over Norwich, he boasted a career-high five hits and a career-high eight RBIs, notching his second home run in as many games, this time with a three-run home run to bring the Spartans within three (11-8) before eventually taking the lead in the ninth inning. Against No. 28 Southern Maine, Dickinson was a combined 3-for-9 with one homer,  four RBI and a run scored.
