Yankee Ford LEC Women’s Lacrosse Athletes of the Week: April 20, 2026 4/20/2026 2:28:01 PM Offensive Player of the Week Alexa Vizzini (Vernon, N.J.) - Senior - Eastern Connecticut In a 3-0 week against Little East Conference opponents, Vizzini had 12 goals – including the 200th of her career – and eight assists for 20 total points along with 15 draw controls, 13 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. She opened the week scoring five goals with two assists, seven draws, five ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 13-8 win at Plymouth State before notching two goals, one assist, six draws, four caused turnovers and four ground balls in a 13-12 win over Keene State. Vizzini capped the week going off for five goals, five assists in a 16-5 triumph at UMass Dartmouth. Defensive Player of the Week Tess Brown, Keene State Brown totaled 13 ground balls, nine caused turnovers and eight draw controls in a 1-1 week in league play for the Owls, which also saw her find the back of the net six times. She recorded a pair of caused turnovers to go with five ground balls, a game-high six draw controls and four two in a 13-12 setback to Eastern Connecticut. In her 12-10 Senior Day win over Plymouth State, the Owls’ first win against the Panthers in 10 years, Brown recorded game-highs of seven turnovers and eight ground balls to go with her two draw controls and four goals. Goalkeeper of the Week Katelyn Nicotera (Medfield, Mass.) - Sophomore - Keene State Nicotera was 1-1 with a .535 save percentage for the Owls last week. She racked up 17 saves against the Warriors before turning away six shots over her 454 minutes played of the victory over the Panthers. Rookie of the Week Morgan Holohan (Averill Park, N.Y.) - Freshman - UMass Boston Holohan totaled 10 goals in a 1-1 week for the Beacons, which included a program-record eight goal performance in UMass Boston’s 16-10 league victory at UMass Dartmouth. She had two of the team’s six goals in the setback to LEC-leading WestConn.
