RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced its NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey All-Americans on Thursday night, with Norwich University placing three student-athletes on the national stage. Junior Livia Brooks (Walpole, Mass.) and freshman Maggie Hunter (Royal Oak, Mich.), along with senior goaltender Madison Brunet (Timmins, Ont.), earned All-American recognition—marking the 25th, 26th, and 27th honorees in program history.

Additionally, sophomore defenseman Alex Leslie (Irishtown, N.B.) was named the NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete.

Brooks Adds Third All-American Honor
Brooks continued her historic career with her third All-American selection, becoming just the second three-time All-American in program history after Amanda Conway '20. The junior winger, who previously earned First-Team honors as a freshman and Third-Team recognition last season, was named the Little East Conference (LEC) Player of the Year after leading the conference in points (36) while tying for the league lead in goals (19) and ranking third in assists (17).

She recorded two hat tricks on the season and reached the 100-career point milestone in the NCAA Quarterfinals, becoming the 14th player in program history to do so.

"Livia's selection as an AHCA All-American for the third consecutive year is truly remarkable and a testament to her sustained excellence," said Head Coach Justin Simpson.
"Every time Livia steps on the ice, she is a scoring threat… I feel incredibly grateful that Livia has another year here at Norwich."

Hunter Shines in Rookie Campaign
Hunter made an immediate impact in her first collegiate season, earning All-American honors after being named LEC Rookie of the Year. She finished as the highest-scoring freshman defenseman in Division III with 26 points, ranking seventh nationally among defenders and fourth in assists (20).

A cornerstone of Norwich's special teams units, Hunter etched her name into the program record book with one of the top scoring seasons ever by a first-year defenseman. Hunter becomes the first Cadet defender to earn the honor since Samantha Benoit '21 in 2020.

"Being named to the AHCA All-American First Team is an outstanding accomplishment… but for Maggie to earn this honor in her first season is truly exceptional," Simpson said.

Brunet Anchors Elite Defense
Brunet earned All-American honors in her first season as the team's starting goaltender, becoming the first goalie in program history to receive the distinction. The senior was instrumental in Norwich's dominant defensive performance, helping the Cadets post the second-best scoring defense in Division III (0.75 GAA).

She recorded nine shutouts—part of the team's Division III-leading 14 on the season—setting a new single-season program record.

"Madi has been our backbone all season long… her consistency, composure, and competitiveness have been instrumental to our success," Simpson said.

Leslie Honored for Academic Excellence
Leslie was recognized with the NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete award, presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing at each championship finals site.

A First-Team All-Conference selection, Leslie carries a perfect 4.0 GPA while excelling as a two-way force on the blue line.

"Alex Leslie embodies everything the NCAA Elite Scholar-Athlete Award represents—excellence at the highest level both on and off the ice," Simpson said.

Norwich returns to action on Friday, March 27, in the NCAA National Semifinal against Nazareth, with puck drop set for 4:00 p.m. EST and a berth in the national championship game on the line.
