Six Men’s Swimming Record Fall of Opening Night of 2026 LEC Championships 2/14/2026 8:19:06 AM WELLESLEY, Mass. - A total of six Little East Conference (LEC) championship records fell on the opening night of competition at the 2026 LEC Men’ Swimming & Diving Championship at the Boston Sports Institute Friday night. Husson and Bridgewater State eclipsed the previous LEC record time of 1:25.88 in the 200 freestyle relay to open the session. The Eagles won the event in 1:25.53, edging out the Bears by two-tenths of a second. The Bears’ 400 medley relay capped the night with a LEC-record and gold medal winning time of 3:27.88. BSU had a pair of individual gold medalists in Yi Hao NG and Aaron Fowler. NG won the 50 breaststroke with a LEC-record time of 26.25, while Fowler was first to touch the wall in the 100 butterfly in 50.75. Maine Maritime had a pair of individual winners on the night. Connor Hedstrom won the 50 freestyle in a LEC-record time of 21.03, and B Boyer claimed the 500 freestyle title in 4:49.71. Husson’s Alexander Walsh posted a LEC-record time of 1:54.76 to win the 200 backstroke, while Eastern Connecticut’s Boden Tito won the 200 IM in 1:56.46. Competition resumes at the LEC Men’s Swimming & Diving Championship Saturday morning at 10 a.m., which will include the 1-meter diving and 1,000 meter freestyle finals. Saturday night’s events will get underway at 6:30 p.m.
